EEG is proud to be a double nominee in the 2019 Streaming Media Readers’ Choice Awards.
Nominated in the Closed Captioning Solution category are EEG’s iCap Falcon and Lexi services.
We’re honored to be recognized with nominations for these closed captioning solutions, which have transformed the way broadcasters, corporations, educators, content creators, and other organizations connect to their audiences.
Voting is open now until October 1st. Held annually by Streaming Media since 2007, this year’s Readers’ Choice Awards features 220 nominees across 28 categories.
And in greater detail, the nominees are…
iCap Falcon
iCap Falcon is a cloud-hosted service that adds closed captions in real-time to live RTMP or RTMPS streams. Falcon replaces traditional hardware encoders for direct-to-web live streaming workflows. The most valuable component of Falcon, however, is its interoperability; this solution is not bound to a single player or platform. Compatible with all major live streaming platforms, Falcon empowers companies to caption events, meetings, and live streams. To generate captions, Falcon can be used with either a professional human captioner or Lexi, EEG's automatic captioning service.
Lexi
Lexi produces real-time captions in English, Spanish and French, at more than 90% accuracy. Released in 2017, Lexi uses Automatic Speech Recognition technology to add accessibility to VOD and live content. Lexi's Topic Model feature recognizes topics, immerses itself in distinctive vocabulary, and observes context by absorbing relevant web data unique to each implementation.
Winners will be announced at Streaming Media West, being held November 19-20 in Los Angeles.
