EEG has announced the availability of the Scribe Pro Captioning Suite on Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a result, video producers in streaming, broadcast, educational, and corporate applications can quickly and easily create professional captions for their content without owning, installing, or maintaining software, and with flexible hourly pricing to accommodate any budget.
Ever-expanding regulations from the FCC, as well as the Americans with Disabilities Act and similar local and international statutes, now require closed captioning on an increasingly wide range of video content. The Scribe Pro Captioning Suite provides convenient access to an efficient high-performance captioning tool, with professional features like reduced-speed playback, batch time shifting, and frame-accurate jog editing. The application can be easily launched on-demand through AWS Marketplace as a virtual machine image, and operated through a standard remote desktop connection.
In AWS Marketplace, video producers can pay for and access Scribe for precisely the time it is needed, whether it’s an hour, day, week, month, or year. They can then choose to revisit the application again at a later date for their next project, all without the upfront expense of owning the software outright.
The Scribe virtual machines launched in AWS Marketplace also include EEG’s CCPlay FilePro software for embedding closed caption data in master video formats like MPEG Transport Streams and MXF. Plus, additional integration from the Scribe software menus provides access to the EEG Cloud network for quick and secure access to proxy video assets uploaded through linked accounts, and automated FCC caption quality checking.
