Release Notes:

Background Image Mode Enhancements

• Major overhaul of Background Image mode.
• Caption text now blends directly with background images.
• Opacity setting works as intended (e.g., set to 0 to remove caption background box).

Display & Resolution Controls

• Front panel LCD can now configure AV610 to match AUX input resolution in Background or Full Screen mode.
• Supported formats: 1080p50, 1080p60, 1080i50, 1080i60.
• New Output Frame Rate feature locks output standard when no input video is present.
• LEXI Viewer now supports non-1080i60 signals.

LEXI Viewer Improvements

• New Number of Rows setting (2, 3, or 4 rows) in Background Image and Decoder modes.
• Row configuration now displayed on front panel LCD.
• Default remains row 15.

User Interface Updates

• iCap configuration text now clearly shows audio routing: “Accept iCap source and mirror on Track 4.”
• Removed unsupported mono-mixing options from web interface.
• Improved tooltip descriptions for better usability.

Security Enhancements

• Updated SSL/TLS libraries for modernized secure HTTP support.
• Added front-panel security modes consistent with Encoder Pro models.

Performance & Reliability

• Backend improvements reduce crashes and reboot issues, especially during startup.
• Overall system stability improved.

Resolved Issues

• Fixed issue where full-screen caption settings were not retained after restart.
• Resolved video-rendering issues causing incorrect source display, video drops, or reboot requirements when formats mismatched.
• Corrected mismatch between selected base rows and on-screen display.
• Fixed settings not persisting when switching between Decoder, Picture, Full Screen, and Scaler modes.

Instructions

 

Follow the steps below to apply your product update through the AV610 web interface:

• Download and save the update file to your local computer.
• Navigate to the Update web page on the encoder and browse for the upgrade file.
• Select the EEG update file you just saved and then click Submit to apply the update.

Follow the steps below to apply your product update through the AV610 front panel USB port:

• Download and save the update file to your local computer.
• Copy the file to the top-level directory on a USB flash drive. Do not copy the file to a sub-folder or the encoder will not detect the upgrade file and the process will fail.
• Place the drive in the front panel USB slot of the encoder.
• Browse to System Setup | Update using the front panel LCD and press OK when the name of the update is displayed.

This upgrade will reboot the AV610 once it is complete.
