Lexi DR : Getting Started Guide
Due to the nature of live broadcasts, it is difficult to react to cases where there is a loss of closed captioning and resolve them within a timely manner. A great majority of such cases of captioning downtime is due to issues with either outbound network connectivity/Internet outage or with the Cloud service being provided. In a normal workflow, the primary source of captioning is EEG Cloud Lexi. With Lexi DR, the encoder also establishes a simultaneous connection with the on-premise DR captioning server. If the encoder is unable to connect to the Cloud server, either EEG Cloud or iCap, the encoder will automatically failover to the DR server ensuring only seconds of caption downtime. No human intervention required. The attached guide describes networking and account setup of a new Lexi DR server, and provides a getting started guide to configure encoder settings for DR communication.
